Most everyone in the USA knows about the Mustang’s history as a road and drag racer. While Ford did not have a factory rally program the privateers had some success. Mustangs competed in races like the Solitude of the Rallye Lyon-Charbonniérs, the Monte Carlo Rallye, Rallye des Routes du Nord, and the Tour de France.
