Carroll Shelby Licensing Announces Settlement with SSC North America

GARDENA, Calif., Jan 26, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. has issued a statement concerning the settlement agreement reached with the company formerly named Shelby Supercars LLC, and its owner, Jerod Shelby, requiring that no commercial use be made of the “Shelby(R)” trademark owned by Carroll Shelby. As part of the agreement, Jerod Shelby’s company has also issued its own statement announcing “a new corporate identity strategy which more clearly identifies itself” by changing its name to “SSC North America.”
This release issued by Carroll Shelby International Inc. implements the settlement agreement’s requirement that both parties issue press releases “disclaiming and denying any association between Carroll Shelby and entities related to him, on the one hand, and SSC [North America], Jerod Shelby and entities related to them, on the other.”
