The Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain 2015 National Event at Stapleford Park last weekend (11th & 12thJuly) saw a stunning display of cars and high quality of entries for the EFG Concours.
Held in the splendid setting of Stapleford Park in Leicestershire, which the Club had exclusively, the annual Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain National Event is a member’s only event which this year saw over 400 Ferrari’s attending along with in excess of 600 members to celebrate all things Ferrari.
Nigel Chiltern-Hunt, Chairman of the Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain commented, “What a truly fantastic weekend we have enjoyed here in the beautiful setting of Stapleford Park. We have witnessed one of the finest displays of Ferrari’s you would see anywhere in the world. We thank EFG International for sponsoring our Concours, which had an unbelievably high quality of entries. We of course thank the members who entered for the meticulous preparation of their cars and the judges who had the unenviable task of choosing the winners”
The winner of the prestigious EFG Trophy for the EFG Car of the Day Award went to Nigel Allen and his superb 1962 Ferrari 250 SWB.
Also on show were two of the newly launched Ferrari 488’s, kindly provided by Ferrari Northern Europe for members to view at close quarters.
Guest of honour at the event was Club President, former racing driver Jack Sears, who entertained members at the Saturday evening Black Tie Dinner with anecdotes from his time racing a Ferrari 330 LMB  to fifth place at the 1963 Le Mans.
