The 2025 Infiniti QX60 Luxe AWD, particularly in the Black Edition with an MSRP of $62,745, represents Infiniti's dedication to luxury, performance, and advanced technology in the competitive midsize SUV segment. Its refined appearance is due to its sleek lines, angular LED headlights, and prominent origami-inspired mesh grille. The Black Edition package enhances the styling cues with darkened 20-inch alloy wheels and blacked-out exterior trim, providing a distinctive and elegant presence from the base model.

Inside, the QX60 offers a luxurious cabin with high-quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship; this is by far the best interior I have seen in any Infiniti model to date and it is on par with its luxury competitors. The Black Edition features black leather-appointed seating, complemented by contrast stitching and dark interior accents, creating a cohesive and upscale environment. The panoramic moonroof, standard across all trims, enhances the sense of space and openness. The first and second rows provide ample legroom, with the second-row bench offering 37.7 inches of legroom, ensuring comfort for passengers. However, due to its limited space, the third row is more suitable for children or shorter trips.

Under the hood, the 2025 QX60 has a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo inline-four engine, delivering 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque, and a 9-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain provides adequate acceleration and a smooth driving experience. The ride quality of the vehicle is commendable, offering a quiet and comfortable journey, with the suspension absorbing road imperfections. However, some reviewers have noted that the engine lacks the refinement expected in this segment, with occasional noise under heavy acceleration.

The QX60 Luxe AWD has a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen featuring Infiniti InTouch™ with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ compatibility. The system is user-friendly, though some critics suggest that the interface feels dated compared to competitors. The Luxe trim also includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, providing clear and customizable driving information. The Black Edition package enhances the audio experience with a Bose® Performance Series 17-speaker sound system, delivering high-quality sound throughout the cabin.

The QX60 is equipped with a comprehensive suite of standard driver assistance features. These include Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The Luxe trim further benefits from ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link, offering semi-autonomous driving capabilities that can reduce driver fatigue during long journeys. We used this on a trip up to our place in the country, and it worked very well.

The 2025 QX60 Luxe AWD offers competitive fuel efficiency for its class. According to Infiniti, it achieves an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in the city, 27 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg combined. These figures are favorable compared to rivals, balancing performance with the economy.

With an MSRP of $62,745, the QX60 Luxe AWD Black Edition positions itself competitively within the luxury midsize SUV segment. It offers a comprehensive list of standard features, advanced safety technologies, and a luxurious interior that justifies its price point. While some competitors may offer more powerful engines or advanced infotainment systems, the QX60 provides a balanced package that appeals to buyers seeking luxury and practicality.

The QX60 faces competition from models like the Acura MDX, Lexus RX, and Volvo XC90 in the crowded midsize luxury SUV market. While each competitor has its strengths, the QX60 distinguishes itself with its variable compression turbo engine, spacious first and second rows, and a comprehensive suite of standard safety features. However, potential buyers should consider the less spacious third row and the infotainment system's interface when comparing.

Overall, the 2025 Infiniti QX60 Luxe AWD Black Edition offers a compelling blend of luxury, comfort, and advanced technology. An elegant design, high-quality interior, and comprehensive safety features make it a strong contender in the midsize luxury SUV segment. While there are areas where it could improve, such as engine refinement and infotainment interface, it provides a well-rounded package that caters to families and individuals seeking a premium driving experience.
