The 1000 Miglia, known as "The World's Most Beautiful Race," is expanding its horizons, roaring to life in China for the first time. This iconic event, organized by 1000 Miglia in partnership with the Federation Classic Car China, is set to bring the legendary "Red Arrow" to the Guangdong province, bringing a piece of Italian motoring heritage to the streets of southern China.
Guangzhou’s bustling Tianhui Plaza offered a thrilling preview as 65 classic and collector cars lined up in a grand exhibition. The spectacle captured the attention of thousands, showcasing six distinct car categories that reflect the breadth and depth of automotive history. From masterpieces of the 1000 Miglia Era Class (1927-1957) to the post-1958 marvels, this eclectic lineup represents the evolution of automotive design, blending aesthetics with engineering prowess.
Today, drivers and machines undergo rigorous technical and administrative checks, a ritual that preludes the 1,200-kilometer journey ahead. Over the next four days, participants will navigate through eleven cities, each leg revealing new cultural touchpoints. From the scenic coastline of Yangjiang to the bustling urban centers of Zhuhai and Shenzhen, the route immerses drivers and spectators alike in the vibrant tapestry of southern China.
