In the world of custom tuning shops, Bisimoto is a household name known for building some of the fastest drag racing cars in history. However, a few years ago, the shop shifted its focus to building and retrofitting electric performance cars. From vintage Porsches to LeMans-style prototypes, Bisimoto has taken on the position of "Electrify All Things" for Bisi, the Tesla powertrain is the new LS Swap.
The world of high-performance cars is constantly evolving, and Bisimoto is at the forefront of this evolution. On a recent trip to California, we stopped in to see Bisi and his latest electrification projects, showcasing his passion for sustainable performance and the exciting future of electric cars. Don't worry he still has fire-breathing twin-turbo Porsches around the shop!
Bisimoto is revolutionizing the world of high-performance cars, one electric conversion at a time. From classic Porsches to the iconic Lotus 7, Bisi and his team have converted just about every kind of sports car, but their next project due to be unveiled at the 2024 SEMA show is going in a very different direction. While you will have to wait to see what their next SEMA car is going to be, Bisi did share that he is working on some really interesting prototype vehicles and still working on creating and tuning Teslas and other electric cars, bringing his old-school engineering and restyling to the new world of EVs.
It's clear that Bisi and his team are not just in it for the speed and power, but for the environmental benefits that come with electrification as well. They are driven by a desire to create high-performance vehicles that are also sustainable and environmentally friendly and allow them to enjoy their classic cars in a new way.
Bisimoto's electrification projects are an exciting development in the world of high-performance cars and his next SEMA project is going to upset some purists for sure.
