British luxury supercar maker McLaren Automotive has announced an exclusive collaboration with acclaimed German artist Cevin Parker, resulting in a one-of-a-kind design for the McLaren Artura hybrid supercar.
Parker, a contemporary self-taught abstract artist based in Berlin, has gained significant attention for his unique style and recently showcased his work at the IncubARTor exhibition in Hamburg.
The Artura is McLaren's first series production, a high-performance hybrid supercar, representing a harmonious blend of art and cutting-edge technology. Its name, "Artura," is a fusion of 'art' and 'future,' reflecting the seamless integration of innovative design and advanced technology.
The Artura delivers an exhilarating driving experience, combining instant torque from its electric motor with a powerful V6 engine. Its sleek and aerodynamic silhouette draws inspiration from modern art, serving as the ideal canvas for the signature collaboration between McLaren and Cevin Parker.
"We are delighted to reveal this exclusive collaboration with Cevin Parker. Parker's extraordinary talent and deep understanding of art have allowed him to create a truly remarkable design that perfectly captures the spirit of the Artura. His use of color – particularly the vibrant combination of purple and yellow – symbolizes creativity, individuality, energy and optimism, all of which resonate with the Artura’s dynamic personality.” Bastian Luehmann, Market Director Central Europe, McLaren Automotive
“I am truly thrilled on having the opportunity to work together with McLaren and to bring two of my biggest passions together: art and supercars. I am excited to see the public’s reaction to this project.” Cevin Parker, artist.
To showcase this collaborative masterpiece, McLaren and Cevin Parker have captured images of the distinct Artura in some of Berlin's most inspiring locations. The car will also be exhibited at various events throughout the year, including the Nit D'Arte in Palma des Mallorca and the ART Basel Miami.
