Like Amelia Island and Radwood, McCall's Motorworks Revival has been bought out by Hagerty and rebranded, the event hosted at the Monterey Jet Center is now known as Motorlux. A curated event that blends the worlds of aviation, cars, and the culinary arts.
Motorlux is a lifestyle experience, with curated menus, signature cocktails, fashion, and of course an opportunity to be seen and network. The event also, for the first time, featured an auction by the Hagerty-owned auction house, Broad Arrow Auctions. The auction of roughly 80 vehicles raked in over $55 million, including the sale of a 1957 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta Scaglietti which hammered for $5.5 million. Several other vehicles were sold for seven figures including a 1964 Aston Martin DB5, a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 600 LWB Landaulet, and a 1990 Ferrari F40.
The Original Venice Crew had their limited edition Shelby G.T. 350s on display, Valkyrie Racing's Antarctica expedition Porsche 356, and several other notable cars made an appearance as well. Like many of the events Hagerty has taken over in the last few years, the insurance giant brought in the right team to take an event like McCall's and enhance it, making it even better.
