Maserati MC20 Cielo Spyder Makes North American Debut in California

The new Maserati MC20 Cielo made its North American debut today with an unveiling ceremony during The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, a prestigious automotive event in California. The Quail, part of the influential “Car Week” in the town of Monterey, was the perfect backdrop to share the open-topped version of Maserati’s newest super sports car with North American audiences. Cielo, which means “sky” in Italian, is the spyder version of the new MC20 super sports car and offers a perfect mix of sportiness and luxury. Unique to the convertible segment, the Cielo features an innovative retractable glass roof with a state-of-the-art electrochromic (smart glass) window that can instantly be transformed from clear to opaque at the touch of a button on a central screen. The roof uses Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) technology to provide a multi-faceted driving experience: it can be all-encompassing with the roof closed and opaque, offering a unique “sky feeling” when the roof is transparent, and allowing for a holistic experience with the top down.

Bentayga EWB Mulliner Gallery Debuts in Monterey

The Bentley Bentayga EWB Mulliner Gallery, a special one-off car that’s become a driveable installation of exquisite hand-crafted art, made its public debut in the USA at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. Introduced by Bentley’s Chairman and Chief Executive Adrian Hallmark, The Bentayga EWB Mulliner Gallery features six veneer panels individually airbrushed to celebrate the recent work of Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke and coachbuilding division.

Piers Dowell is one of the most technically accomplished airbrush artists in the world. Working from his studio in Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire – just 60 miles from Bentley’s home in Crewe, Cheshire – Piers creates artworks of incredible detail and vibrant color using murals, guitars, racing helmets, and any number of other non-porous 3D objects as his substrate. His mastery of airbrushed color and expertise in working with the fine wood of guitars made him the perfect artist for this project, swapping out musical instruments for Bentley veneer, cut and shaped by hand in Bentley’s dedicated Wood Shop.

Piers has been honing his skills for the past 31 years, and is now producing work not only unique in its concept but also technically achievable by only a handful of people in the world. That mastery makes his heavily themed artworks desirable as fine art in themselves.

Lincoln Model L100 Concept Signals the Brand’s Future Vision; Explores Reimagined Space for Personal Mobility

Lincoln Model L100 Concept Signals the Brand’s Future Vision; Explores Reimagined Space for Personal Mobility

Debuting at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where Lincoln is the featured marque as part of the brand’s 100th anniversary, the Model L100 Concept pushes the boundaries of Lincoln’s Quiet Flight design to create connected experiences that reimagine the ultimate vehicle sanctuary of tomorrow.

Created as an autonomous vehicle with an intelligent driving experience, connectivity, and software-driven innovations, the Model L100 Concept advances Lincoln’s vision and paves the way for the brand to rethink mobility in the future.

The Model L100 Concept uses next-generation battery cell and pack technologies, which will deliver game-changing energy density and enable efficient, structural integration by treating the entire vehicle as a system. The advanced approach will not only help deliver elegant design but also maximize the interior cabin space, giving designers new flexibility to create the signature Lincoln experience of the future.

With accents of amethyst in recycled suede fabric, designers created the Model L100 cabin with animal-free materials and luxury alternatives. On the exterior – designers used metallic paint and frosted acrylic in lieu of chrome with a satin digital ceramic tricoat – highlighting a warm, soft white that transitions into cool, open-air blue.

The entire interior has been designed to create an immersive environment. The digital floor, canopy, and ambient lighting all harmonize to create a personalized experience that can enhance your mood. Orchestrated like a fine-tuned symphony along with interior lighting that harmonizes with sound, scent, and touch, the digital floor transports passengers to the sanctuary of tomorrow.

Hennessey Presents the World’s Fastest and Most Powerful Roadster

Hennessey Presents the World’s Fastest and Most Powerful Roadster

The Venom F5 Roadster is based on the Hennessey Venom F5 Coupe – the two are nearly identical mechanically – yet distinguishing the Venom F5 Roadster from its fixed-roof sibling are several attributes that set the open-air model apart – physically, cosmetically, and emotionally.

Mid-mounted in the carbon-fiber monocoque chassis is Hennessey’s celebrated twin-turbocharged, 6.6-liter, ‘Fury’ V8 engine rated at an astonishing 1,817 bhp. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a robust automated single-clutch gearbox. With a dry weight of under 3,100 pounds, the Venom F5 Roadster promises phenomenal performance… and an engineered top speed exceeding 300 mph.

Hennessey expects the Venom F5 Roadster to surpass the company’s own ‘world’s fastest convertible’ record – 265.6 mph – currently held by the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder.
