The H. Moser & Cie. Perpetual Calendar, has been a an horological wonder since it was first introduced in 2005, thanks to it's simple sophistication. It would be a decade before the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue, would relaunch the brand setting a new tone for the nearly 200-year-old watchmaker.
For 2022, the storied Swiss brand is launching an updated version of the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue, this limited edition measures 42 mm and featuring a unique blueprint style technical drawing on the dial showcasing the functions of the Perpetual Calendar.
Known for its complex movement, that is easy to use, the Perpetual Calendar offers month and day complications without the need for a chronograph style dial. The months are pointed to by a small hand at the center, a large date window makes the date clear to read, allowing for seconds, minuets, hours, date, and month all in a single dial. The time and date are easy to set using the screw-down crown and can be changed at any time of the day.
Most other perpetual calendars on the market require careful handling, with strict adherence to every step of their very precise instructions. This leaves many customers reluctant to take them out of their box and tackle this time-consuming process. H. Moser & Cie. revolutionized the perpetual calendar by offering a watch that even a child could operate.
As for the very special series, this true "perpetual calendar for dummies" takes the piece in the opposite direction to the minimalist philosophy habitually cultivated by H. Moser & Cie., which the pared-down dial and intuitive functions of the perpetual calendar illustrate perfectly. In a creative undertaking demonstrating the offbeat humor of H. Moser & Cie., the dial of the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar has been scrawled with notes and drawings which encapsulate the features of this movement.
