Throughout the year mechanics from across the country have been competing in the US Auto Tech National Championship, the final of which takes place in Nashville Tennessee. The competition held qualifying rounds in eight states that resulted in 62 finalists being invited to showcase their skills on a national stage December 13th-14th.
Competitors fall into two categories, professional auto techs already working in the trade full time, and students who are soon to be entering the workforce. A lot is on the line as each category will produce a champion who will take home a $40,000 prize and the title of National Champion. The public is invited to come out to watch all three rounds of the competition, at the Music City Convention Center, the event is free to attend, attendees will receive a wristband allowing them to enter the arena.
The U.S. Auto Tech National Championship is part of the IDEAL Elite Trades Championship Series which seeks to highlight the hardworking men and women who keep our country moving. These competitions not only create opportunities for those in the trade to gain national recognition for their skills, but are a platform to promote trade education and inspire the next generation of tradesmen to pick up tools and go to work. Partnerships with the University of Northwestern Ohio, Garage Gurus, and having a dedicated competition for students highlight how important trade education is. Additional sponsors of the IDEAL Elite Trade Championship Series are 7-Eleven, Duluth Trading Company, Little Giant Ladders, and ServiceTitan.
We hope you will join me in Nashville to see the finalist's faceoff in this inaugural championship competition. Check out the full schedule of events below and visit usatnc.com for more information.
