Tour-De-Force, makers of the TDF-One race car, have partnered with O’Gara Motorsport to bring their open-wheel racing concept to North America. The TDF-One allows owners to experience the thrill of being a Grand-Prix driver in their own bespoke track toy. Each TDF-One is based on a retired Formula One chassis, that is inspected, rebuilt, and reengineered to increase reliability and lower running costs. The result is a car that can be started at a push of a button, no pre-heat, no team of engineers fiddling with their laptops, just strap in and take it to the track.
It’s an extraordinary privilege to announce this fantastic partnership with O’Gara. The TDF-One program has been a long time in development, so to have such a prestigious partner as O’Gara recognize the incredible product we have developed here, is a huge endorsement for us. We’re excited to get started and can’t wait to unveil O’Gara’s first chassis together in California.
James Densley, TDF’s Chief Technical Director
The first customer chassis in the United States has been delivered to O’Gara’s facility at The Thermal Club, bringing the excitement of Formula One to the Southern California desert. Tour-De-Force has been maintaining and offering trackside support for historic Formula One cars around the world, but the TDF-One is the opportunity for owners to experience modern-era Formula One cars without the expense and trackside service that is typically required to keep historic F1 cars on the track.
Each TDF-One owner will work with O’Gara’s on-site experts, to design their perfect bespoke vehicle, from livery and racewear through to driver training and exclusive events. O’Gara’s first chassis was be unveiled to the public and run for the first time at this year’s Velocity Invitational at Laguna Seca Raceway. Pricing is available upon request due to the bespoke nature of each vehicle, we hope we get to check the TDF-One out in person soon.
