Are you a car fan planning on visiting Los Angeles anytime soon? If so, you won’t be short of automotive-related places to visit. As one of the world’s most famous car culture cities, it’s no wonder millions of people travel to Los Angeles.
If you haven’t got the luxury of time on your side, you probably want to do a whistle-stop tour of the city. But, what if you mainly want to see automotive-related attractions or places of interest? The good news is LA has plenty of places for auto buffs to visit. You could probably see a few of the following places in a single day if you plan right and start early.
Just be sure to sort out your luggage storage in Los Angeles, so you don’t need to lug your gear around with you during your travels! Anyway, check out a few of the must-see destinations to visit some automotive-related on your trip to LA:
1. Petersen Automotive Museum
2. Irwindale Speedway
There has been some talk of closing the venue down and demolishing it, so it’s worth visiting it as you might not have a chance to do so in the future.
3. The Nethercutt Museum and Collection
And if you’re a railway buff, there’s an extra treat in store for you. On display is a 1937 Canadian Pacific Royal Hudson locomotive along with a matching private car.
4. LA Auto Show
5. Warner Bros. Studio Tour
Lastly, it makes sense to spend some time on a Warner Bros. studio tour in Burbank, just north of Los Angeles. It’s a combination tram and walking tour of past and present production sets and soundstages. Plus, the Picture Car Museum (which is part of the studio tour) showcases some of the more spectacular cars featured on the silver screen like the Batmobile.
