The Quattro's legendary status was secured in the 1980s thanks to Audi winning rally events around the world and for homologation reasons these rally proven rockets were sold to the general public. With a turbocharged 2.1-liter inline five-cylinder engine that made 160hp and full-time all-wheel-drive, the Audi Quattro offered "thrilling performance" according to automotive journalists of the day. The Quattro was only sold in North America between 1983 and 1986, and just 763 examples reached the United States and Canada through official channels during this time.
This car is being offered for auction by RM Sotheby's in Arizona on January 22nd, 2021.
