Historic racers from across the country are signing up to attend the inaugural running of the Groesbeck Grand Prix - A Motorsports Festival, this September. The event, the brainchild of TheGentlemanRacer.com founder Michael Satterfield, veteran racer Richard Tomlin, and automotive journalist and radio personality Greg Riley, seeks to bridge the gap between car shows and vintage racing allowing more of the public to experience the thrill of historic auto racing against the stunning backdrop of the historic Fort Parker Restoration in Groesbeck, Texas.
Racers include NASCAR legend Mike Powell and his race-winning 1963 Ford Fairlane, Paul Hagger who will be behind the wheel of his Chevron B23 which was driven by famed Japanese racing driver Hiroshi Kazato to victory at Fuji Speedway, and Texan Primo Maor will be piloting his classic 1967 Alfa Romeo GT Jr. In addition to those exciting cars, several other historical MG, Porsche, Fiat, and Austin Healey sports cars have entered into the inaugural time trial.
The Groesbeck Grand Prix, is unlike any event in Texas, creating an immersive experience for both the participant and attendee. This one-of-a-kind event brings historic racing to a family setting allowing spectators to enjoy vehicles at speed in a historic setting. Inside the historic pioneer fort recreation, 50 hand-selected vehicles will vie for the first-ever Mexia Concours Trophy.

A portion of the proceeds from the Groesbeck Grand Prix benefits Parkinson’s Research in Texas through our charity partner Drive Toward A Cure a 501(c)3 and to support the Fort Parker Restoration.
