Car Girl: Alice Hyzer

Automotive model Alice Hyzer grew up in the Canadiana countryside, which meant driving back roads in fast cars, and off-road adventures on dirtbike and snowmobiles. She learned to drive in a farm truck at the age of ten and knew she was hooked on that feeling of shifting through the gears.

Her first car was a Pontiac Sunfire, while it wasn't going to win any races Alice would push it to the limits, much to the distress of her mother. Back in her teen years, her dream car was a Subaru WRX STI, persuing the import tuner lifestyle is where she met other automotive enthusiasts and really got plugged into the car scene.

She got into the modeling side of things on a whim but quickly was taken with the artistic side of working with photographers. While other car girls may judge her, Alice says it doesn't bother her, while she may be out front modeling for various automotive brands at car shows, she also spends a lot of time in the shop hanging out with friends as they build their own dream cars. Alice said: "I learned new respect (for car builders) and realized what the car scene meant to me. It really shows dedication, patience, artist ability, and quick thinking. Someone willing to show the world the work they did, of what is perfect to them. To have people allow me to take photos with their cars after they’ve put hours of hard work Into perfecting their baby is such a fun experience."

Alice has modeled/acted for different clothing lines, some runway, and promotional work. When she finally gained the courage to leave her small-town life, she met a friend who organizes a number of car shows in Toronto, he brought her in on his team to work the events.

"I enjoy wicked experiences, like getting the chance to be in the passenger seat with a professional drifter, getting to ride in some beautiful luxury cars and to help create a positive and fun vibe at the shows. I hope I can expand my career further as I would love to travel out of Canada to experience more shows around the world" Alice.
