Fiat unveiled the all-new 500 in Milan today, but don't expect a snarling little mouse like the previous 500 Abarth, with its sporty looks and Italian sport-exhaust soundtrack, this new 500 is only offered as an EV. According to FCA, the new 500 has a 42-kWh lithium-ion battery that is good for nearly 200 miles, more than double the 2019 500e. With an output of 87 kW, the new 500 delivers acceleration from 0-62 mph in 9.0 seconds,
The new 500 offers level 2 autonomous driving that includes intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (iACC) and Lane Centering. It is also the first Fiat car equipped with the new Uconnect 5 infotainment system, offering a 10.25-inch high-definition touchscreen.
FCA hasn't released plans to bring the new 500 EV to the North American market, but it is likely as this FCA's only all-electric offering.
