The 3rd annual Park Place Luxury & Supercar Showcase was held at the Four Seasons Resort and Club in Irving, Texas this past weekend. Touted as the emerging Concours d'Elegance that is poised to rival Pebble Beach or Amelia Island, while the show is excellent it is a very different experience than the coastal shows, but the foundation is there for this show to become an important event on the automotive calendar.
The show is a mix of cars, fashion, and food cars are on the fairway and massive tents house gourmet cuisine, a bar, and a fashion show. The event benefits Baylor Scott & White Irving Foundation and attracted thousands of visitors from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Notable cars on display include the Bentley Continental GT Pike's Peak race car, the Pininfarina Battista, and 1936 Mercedes-Benz Roadster which won "Best of Show."
