The team over at Whitley Neill sent me a bottle of their Handcrafted Dry Gin so I thought I would share one of my favorite summer cocktails, a blueberry sling, the perfect drink for an afternoon relaxing out at the lake house.
Mike's Blueberry Sling:
- 1 2/3 oz. Whitley Neill Gin
- 12 Fresh Blueberry
- A sprig of Fresh Rosemary
- 1 2/3 oz. Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
- 2/3 oz. Simple Syrup
- Soda Water Chilled
Muddle the fresh blueberries (don't try to substitute frozen) and rosemary in a glass. Remove the rosemary and add 2/3 oz. of Whitley Neill Gin, lime juice, and simple syrup and stir. Add ice and top off with chilled soda water. You can add a sprig of rosemary as a garnish.
Whitley Neill offers a boutique spirit at a value price point with a 750ml bottle retailing for under $30.
Whitley Neill Gin Original was created by Johnny Neill, who's family has been producing gin since 1762. Blending classic Gin botanicals with exotic African botanicals to create a liquid with a flavor as unique as its heritage.
