Moving across the country means making some choices on what stays and what you take with you and what you leave behind. In my move from California to Texas, most of the furniture was left behind. The living room at the condo in Waco was pretty much a blank canvas so when I came across the Mainstays Cube Storage Home Entertainment Center at Walmart.com I thought it would be the perfect way to get the electronics up off the cardboard box and add some style and functional storage to the space.

The entertainment center arrived at my door just a few days after ordering it, two large boxes. Assembly only took about an hour with simple to follow directions and I only needed a hammer and a few screwdrivers. This unit measures 84.37"L x 15.35"W x 72.91"H, but its modular design means any of the units could be used on their own or in a different arrangement. I also like that the hardware packages include anti-tip-wall mounts for the tall shelving units.

The unit is designed to frame a TV on the wall, but you can also place a TV on the top of the main lower unit which can support up to 100lbs. Another nice touch is the alternating open rear panels that made placing the subwoofer on the lower shelf without having to add any holes making cord management easy. The Mainstays Cube Storage Home Entertainment Center looks great and has a very high-end look while still being a great value at just $139.

Now that the living room doesn't look so bare, it time to hide the rest of those cables and unpack some of my accessories and books so this place starts looking a little more homelike. Check out my video below and CLICK HERE to shop for this and other home decor products at Walmart.
