I have always been a fan of talk radio, but with traditional radio on the decline and more stations simply syndicating larger shows, great automotive radio content has gotten harder to find. Thankfully we have podcasts, just like blogging did for the automotive press, podcasting has given more people a platform to share some amazing automotive content.
Here are my top six automotive podcasts you should be subscribed to.
The Smoking Tire
Matt Farah's 90-minute show is filled with top names from the automotive world. Guests include race car drivers, designers, automotive aftermarket professionals, and celebrity car enthusiasts. The conversations are always fun, entertaining, and you'll come away learning something new from each episode.
Everyday Driver
What started out as a YouTube series has swapped over to the world of podcasting. Everyday Driver hosts Todd Deeken and Paul Schmucker talk about general cars news, fun car stories, and answer questions from listeners.
Hooniverse
If it's about cars, motorcycles, trucks, road trips, or just about anything else with wheels the Hooniverse podcast gets to sit down with automotive designers, enthusiasts, motorcycle riders, and racers. They even had me on the show once.
B Squad Hotrod
This podcast follows four guys building cars and talking about their experiences as well as the automotive world. Like "Are You Sticking a New Frame Under an Old Car?" and "Making parts fit" they are kinda learning as they go, so it makes for some interesting conversations and stories.
Skidmarks Show
Cool cars and rock stars, Jeff Allen and Ethan Demetrius travel around the world talking to everyone from Vaughn Gittin Jr to Rich Robinson from the Black Crows. Cars, Music, and unique personalities make for a very entertaining show.
My First Car
Dan and Geoff are two friends who love cars and talk to a wide range of guests from automotive personalities to astronauts, while the conversations can include anything with wheels they always get the guests first car story and talk about what made it special or terrible. I was recently on this podcast telling my first car story.
