Built 1969, the car was exported to Japan in 1971, where it went through several owners, before ending up parked in the barn of its last owner, Makoto Takai in the early 1980s. What makes the car incredibly rare is that it is the only street version of the Daytona that was built with a full aluminum body. The car was sold for $2.17 million RM Sotheby's Maranello, Italy auction in barn-find condition.
