So by now it is likely you have seen Furious 7, the latest installment of the Fast & The Furious franchise. As usual Dom and the family find themselves in thrust into the middle of some international paramilitary operation that only a group of street racers can handle... all while being hunted in a blood feud by The Transporter.
The car that caused a lot of questions was the $3.4 million dollar supercar that was kept in a Dubai penthouse and the heros use it to jump from building to building before it ultimately is destroyed. At first I thought it was a kit car, like
Surprisingly it is not kit, it's the W Motors LYKAN Hypersport. Touted to be the first supercar from the Middle East. W Motors, a Lebanese based company founded in 2012 (now operating out of Dubai) claims to have sold just a seven to the public, however according to a video (2nd video below) about the cars used in Furious 7, nine were built for the film, only two with complete interiors and drivetrains.
It is a wild car and much of the $3.2 million dollar price tag seems to be in the diamond encrusted headlamps and gold thread used to stitch up the interior, but time will tell if W Motors will go the way of FiberFab or will be here to stay.
