This amazing Maserati popped up on Auto Collectors Garage, it is one of the best-looking racers of the 1960s and anyone who was anyone drove a Birdcage during the early 60's such as Stirling Moss and Carroll Shelby. When Moss started winning with the Tipo 61 in 1959 it caught the eye of Casner Motor Racing Division owner Lloyd "Lucky" Casner who took three Tipo 61s to the 1960 24 Hours of Le Mans. While Le Mans glory was never realized the cars did when several races including the 60 & 61 1000 km Nürburgring. With just 16 built from 1959-1961, it is rare that they change hands if you want this one you'll need to "inquire for price".
