The RM Auction that happened in conjunction with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, California had the Mercedes-Benz vehicles as stars. The vehicles were sold to a high amount as expected, especially the 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster.
The car, which sold for a whopping $9.68M was made in 1937 in Sindelfingen and had a price of $12,000 then. This particular Mercedes 540K Special Roadster, according to its papers was delivered on January 5,1937 to an industrialist in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For years, the car-dominated in the market and it proved to be one of the most beautiful and most revered cars in the world war era.
Other roadsters, the 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540K was sold for $4.62M and a 1936 coupe was sold for $3,080,000.
