HKS is an aftermarket automotive tuning company that was founded in Japan back in 1973. In 1982, the company expanded and HKS USA was established. In a letter to vendors and dealers HKS announced that it would be ceasing its U.S. operation and consolidating design, production, and distribution of all HKS products to its Japanese headquarters. HKS will continue to sell parts in the United States.
