A race at Riverside International Raceway almost always featuring some of the top drivers of the day, including Carroll Shelby, Masten Gregory, Ken Miles, and Dan Gurney. Being close to Los Angeles, RIR was often used for filming and can be seen in classic racing films such as Winning, and Viva Las Vegas, however by the 1980's like many tracks around the country the city had caught up to the once rural race track, and in 1988 the track was closed to make way for a shopping mall. The shirt shown is a reproduction of one offered 1957 Sports Car Race. With shirts also dedicated to the Shelby School of High-Performance Driving that was held at Riverside Raceway in the early '60s and recalling the 1960 Grand Prix, it is by far the most extensive collection of Riverside International Raceway shirts on the market.
