We love purpose-built service vehicles here at TheGentlemanRacer.com there is just something cool about specialty cars. Jakarta has the three-wheeled Bajaj Taxi, London has the London Cab, and now the US has a purpose-built taxi with Ford's Transit Taxi that will be roaming the streets in late 2010 as a 2011 model. It keeps the same 4 cylinders as the standard Transit, but will have options to run on Natural Gas, Ford also unveiled their all Electric Transit with a range of 80 miles on a single charge that will be primarily used as a delivery vehicle in downtown and urban environments according to Ford, however, some may make their way out to the public for personal use. Also the 2011 Focus Electric will be out soon as well for those seeking a Green car that does not look like a Prius.
